I’d like to start this post by saying Thank You to my readers! After the release of Seven Oars, I received so many heart-warming messages that it truly made my day (my month, rather). I like to say I write for myself, but you can’t imagine the motivational difference your comments make.
A few of you asked whether Seven Oars will be on Kindle Unlimited – not yet. However, it is now available on several other marketplaces, which works especially well for those of you who aren’t on Amazon. Both the ebook and paperback options are available.

In the spirit of an update: I’m busy working on my next book (there’s always a next book, ya know?). It’s still very much a work in progress – I’ll share a snippet once I have a firmer grasp on the manuscript.
This one isn’t about Rix, since I’m more than a little tired of them right now and need a break from aliens and space. I had to do a lot of research on modern space stations just to begin grasping the concept because I’m about as close to being an aerospace engineer as a rock is to a diamond. Somewhere in my drawer still lives a crude diagram of Seven Oars, the station, which helped keep me organized through that journey.
That’s not to say all the cosmic stuff isn’t fascinating. It really is amazing, the very definition of progress. I hope to live long enough to see a manned mission to Mars. So anyway, no new Rix story *just yet.* But do I have ideas? I do have ideas. In line with the series, the new book, when it’s born, will feature a character from the previous book. For continuity.
Finally, just for fun, I wanted to share with you an alternative cover for Seven Oars that I made all by my very own little self, with a bit of help from AI. Meaning, it’s a totally AI-generated, this-person-does-not-exist type cover. How about that?
It’s actually scary how you can just make up a face that looks like a real person’s photo, but they don’t exist. This cover is just a rough mock-up since I knew I’d eventually hire a graphic designer, but it was a cool and slightly creepy experience. I have several images with different faces, but I like this one the best.
