Lydia Hope
An avid romance reader since her teens, Lydia was sometimes left frustrated by the actions of other people’s characters. She decided to write so she could steer that boat herself. An author was born out of frustration, in a way.
A linguistics major, Lydia is a Ph.D. program dropout with aspirations of one day going back to finish what she started. While waiting on that day to arrive (20 years and counting), she works in public service.
Lydia lives in Colorado’s North Denver area, enjoying the sunshine and dry air after a lifetime spent on the East Coast. She lives with her husband and two of her three children (they grow up too fast). She likes to cook and pursue “granny” hobbies like quilting and crocheting, go on long runs, and is an enthusiastic, if not particularly gifted, home decorator. She also writes.
Lydia Hope is a pen name that pays tribute to her two late grandmothers, Lydia and Hope.
